My band mates and I were lucky enough to have a couple of our original compositions,
All I Want & This City from our debut EP ‘Surface’ picked up by top global artist Alok.
The tracks were earmarked for global release as singles on Dutch based label Spinnin’ Records (under Warner Brothers US) and Amsterdam based indie label Armada Music at
a key moment in his career in 2017. When Alok started moving towards pop focused lead singles like Hear Me Now with underwriters & top-line vocalists.
In 2018, we decided to reinvest some of the royalties into funding the recording of
our dream EP ‘As You Fall In’ in a secluded country cabin in Mia Mia, Victoria and The Grove Studios, Somersby, New South Wales with renowned record producer Jean-Paul Fung under our own name ‘Stonefox’.
We released the record in 2020 (in the height of the spicy flu) on Vancouver based indie label Seeking Blue and Melbourne based publisher Gaga Music (under Inertia AU/NZ), GYROstream PR and Ingrooves distribution (WW).

Instead of touring or playing local and international showcases, we did what Stonefox does best… got creative and made extra content. The debut performance of ‘As You Fall In’ was streamed live on MrSuicideSheep to an audience of over 30,000 viewers a month out from the release. Driving pre-orders for the record on Spotify and Apple Music.

To help stretch out the flow of content across as many channels possible, we also created a number of video clips, live performance videos and animated videos featuring the black and purple branding (colour pallet from our album artwork and press shots) to run on social media and in various exclusives with tastemaker music publications.

As of 2025, ‘As You Fall In’ has received over 20 million Spotify streams, 120k Soundcloud plays and 50k YouTube plays on the band’s account. As well as more than 3 million YouTube plays on Seeking Blue owned YouTube channel posts (MrSuicideSheep).

In 2021-2024, Alok was dubbed the 4th most popular DJ in the world according to DJ Mag’s Top 100 list for four consecutive years. He went on to perform on the main stage at Coachella in the US in 2025, with an important message for the audience from those in creative industries in the age of AI & new technology: #keeparthuman #artneedssoul.
